Artist Statement

My work is a multifaceted exploration into my personal archive of artifacts. Layered with discovery, they utilize minimalist aesthetics to present conversations regarding context and contradiction. My pieces are objects and images. Large and small. Messy and clean. Traumatic and joyous. Impulsive, they are quick gestures meant to be further examined after the moment has passed.

Artist Bio

Jackie has previously described herself as an illustrator, a printmaker, and a thing maker. She earned her BFA from Sage College of Albany and her MFA from the State University of New York at Albany. A native of the Mohawk Valley, she currently lives and works in the New York Capital Region. Zysk has previously shown at locations around the region, including Limner Gallery (Hudson, NY), The Hallway (Troy, NY), and the University Art Museum (Albany, NY).

Drawer 5- Matrix (For Harold), Monotype, 7.5" x 7.5", 2016, $150
